Teaching Artifacts Artifacts d'enseignement
During my time as an education student, I had the great privilege of working with some very inspiring people, both during my time at St. Thomas and throughout my two internships. The teaching artifacts I chose to share for this portfolio are projects or assignments that have really impacted my teaching.
Through my internships, I was able to come up with fun, interactive activities which got the students engaged and eager to learn the specific topics being taught. The examples of work created by my students that I chose to share are projects, assignments, or simple messages which have helped me become the teacher that I am today. Much of the hands-on projects or assignments began with a small, basic idea and flourished into something creative and original due to the imagination of my students. I strongly believe in taking things "one step farther" when doing any type of work and to let the imagination guide the learning and doing.
The students who I was blessed to teach and work with during my two internships have taught me so much about themselves and their vision of the education system. I strongly believe that by providing them the opportunity to take control of their own learning and by supporting them in this journey, it has allowed me to build an amazingly resourceful data bank to help me become the best teacher I can possibly be.
This brings me to the next section of artifacts I chose to include within this portfolio: some of my most prized possession projects that I was a part of during my time at St. Thomas. As a Bachelor of Education student, I not only have learned and acquired the skills I need to become a great teacher, but I have met a great deal of very inspiring people. The professors have guided me and provided me with all the necessary tools I need to be on my way into the real world of teaching. They have allowed me to flourish by taking control of my own learning and to let my imagination run free when completing project or assignments. I have also been able to work alongside of a bunch of very amazing, intelligent and talented future teachers with whom I have also been able to build very close relationships. The artifacts I chose to share within this section are only some samples of the many projects or assignments created through this program which have many long but precious hours of work behind them. Every piece of work on these pictures was created with a great deal of passion, enthusiasm and care.
